Weber makes three burner gas grills in both the Genesis and Spirit product lines. This guide goes though the Weber Genesis Flavorizer bar selection guide first and tackles the Weber Spirit Flavorizer bar selections second.
Weber Genesis Flavorizer Bars
The early model Weber Genesis grills utilized thirteen Weber Flavorizer bars. There were five long bars that were ran left to right and were located directly over the burner tubes and eight shorter bars that ran front to back and were located directly above the five long bars.
The thirteen Flavorizer bar configuration was used for the Weber Genesis 1-5, Weber Genesis 1000-5000 grills and the early Platinum Series. Here is what you need to order.
The next generation of Weber Genesis grills eliminated the eight shorter Flavorizer bars and utilized only the bottom five. These five Flavorizer bars are 22.5 inches long. This is what is found in the Weber Genesis Silver B and C, Gold B and C and later Platinum grills. (If you have a Weber Genesis Gold or Platinum with 23.3 inch long Flavorizer bars then read this post.) These are the same Flavorizer bars found on the Weber Spirit 700. If your Weber gas grill originally came with five Flavorizer bars then you can replace them with one of the following:
In 2007 Weber introduced a new version of the Weber Genesis, the 300 series (e300, e310, e320, s310, s320). These grills also use five Flavorizer bars but these bars are 24.5 inches long. This grill has SIDE MOUNTED BURNER CONTROLS. Here is what you want to order.
If your Weber Genesis has FRONT MOUNTED BURNER CONTROLS then here is what you need. Click here to buy Flavorizer bars for front mounted Genesis grills!
Weber Spirit Flavorizer Bars
All three burner Weber Spirit grills that have side mounted burner controls use the same number and size of Flavorizer bars. The official part number is Weber 7536. You can replace them with any of the following:
If you have a three burner Weber Spirit with front mounted burner controls then the official replacement part number for the Flavorizer bars is Weber 7636. You can buy the correct replacement bars here.
When you take the old Flavorizer bars out take a minute to inspect your burner tubes. The burner tubes last around ten years and if this is the first time you have replaced the Flavorizer bars then your burner tubes are probably in great shape. If this is your second time replacing the Flavorizer bars then your grill is about ten years old and the burner tubes might have some cracks, etc. Here are the correct replacement burner tubes if you need some. These fit all of the three burner grills with side mounted burner controls. If you have front mounted burner controls your burner tubes should still be in excellent shape; start checking them in 2020.
If you need to get some new grates I suggest the stainless steel grates. They leave better grill marks and last longer.
